Robert H. Mulz (Bob) Chairman

Robert H. Mulz, more commonly known as Bob, was born at home
on 16 July 1944 in Brooklyn N.Y. Enlisted in the U.S.Naval Reserve
at Freeport NY in January 1960. Upon completion of High School
entered college in the NY University system. As the Vietnam war
heated up, Mulz was called to active duty in March 1966, June
1967 brought him to the guided missile destroyer USS Henry B.
Wilson DDG7 followed by several deployments to the "ugly war”
in Southeast Asia aboard USS Robison DDG12 and USS Hoel
DDG13. The seven years of continuous sea duty was briefly
interrupted by his being selected to FT" B" School. T

Alonza J. Wilson
Experience: AJ has forty-five years of experience with the private
industry and the military covering management, communications
and administration, traveling internationally, lecturing, motivating,
and training. He earned his MBA from National University,
San Diego, CA in 1981. He was also a recruiter for the Marine Corps
enlisting hundreds of young people to serve. A Vietnam Veteran
who has been successful in the “Aquatic Industry” for 24 years
and although a licensed C-53 (Pool Builder) his forte’ is
remodeling with emphasis on equipment installation and repair.

Mr. James C. Lloyd
Assistant to the Director for Major Programs
U.S. Army, Office of Small Business Programs
Office of the Secretary of The Army
On July 24, 2005, Mr. Lloyd was appointed as the Assistant to the
Director for Major Programs in the U.S. Army, Office of Small
Business Programs for the Office of the Secretary of the Army.
He is responsible for planning, developing and managing
programs to implement Army small business policies. He is
also responsible for executing the Staff Assistance and Review
Program which provides oversight over all of the Army’s Major
Commands and acts as the executive liaison with the Secretary
of the Army and Chief of Staff. Mr. Lloyd is also the Program
Manager for the Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business
(SDVOSB) and the Historically Underutilized Business Zone
(HUBZone) Programs. Prior to accepting his current position,
Mr. Lloyd was the Deputy Associate Director for Office of Small
Business Programs, U.S. Army Contracting Agency (ACA).
Mr. Lloyd is an acquisition professional with over 25 years of
experience as an Army officer. He has served in a variety of
command and staff positions at varying levels within the Army.
Mr. Lloyd retired from the Army in 2003 as a Lieutenant Colonel.
Mr. Lloyd is Level III certified in Contract Management and
Program Management and is a member of the Army Acquisition
Corps. He has successfully completed the Program Manager’s
Course, Command and General Staff College, and numerous
other federal procurement and acquisition courses. Mr. Lloyd
received his BS degree in Accounting from Central State
University in Wilberforce, OH. He is a Distinguished Military
Graduate, and has received numerous military awards and
decorations for superior service during his military career. |

Wendy Rogers
has led a life of service to her country and community. Daughter
of a long line of Army officers, Wendy was commissioned into the
Air Force from Michigan State University with her bachelor's degree and then
master's degree from the University of Alabama in Social Work as a clinical social
worker. She treated patients in the Air Force mental health clinic.
She then attended Air Force Pilot Training at Williams AFB, Arizona going
on to pilot worldwide airlift and humanitarian missions in the
C-141 transport jet for several years. Wendy then became an
Air Officer Commanding of cadets at the US Air Force Academy while also
performing as a flight instructor. The latter half of her 20-year
Air Force career placed her overseas in the European theater
flying Air Force C-21 Learjets and leading three different operational
divisions at Headquarters US Air Forces Europe during the fall of the Berlin
Wall and normalization of relations with former East Bloc countries
to include a 6-month deployment running the Bosnian Airlift. She finished
her career with 3000 hours jet time and numerous commendations
to include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal.
In addition to her degrees in Social Work, Wendy holds a second
master's degree in National Security Studies (Political Science) from Cal State San Bernardino.
She has been married to Hal Kunnen since 1978, who is also a
retired Air Force officer. They have lived in the East Valley since
retiring from the military in 1996. Both their children, George and
Emily, are scholarship Honors College students at ASU. George
is being commissioned as an officer in the US Marine Corps in
May 2009.
Wendy and Hal homeschooled George and Emily during their
elementary years. They own their own business with 10 employees,
as well as an office building with 7 tenants. Wendy has been active
in the local community as Development Director at Tempe Prep
Academy, foster parent, and in her church. If she doesn't answer
her cell phone, you will find her jogging 2 miles a day along
Tempe canals.
Wendy Rogers believes in the goodness of America and in Tempe
and south Scottsdale. That's why she specifically chose to live in
Tempe - - for its eclectic diversity and entrepreneurial spirit.
She will serve this district with her characteristic high energy,
depth of experience, and devoted loyalty to her neighbors and
her professional community. |

Mr. Lloyd Calderon
Has been the New Mexico Department of Veterans’ Services
Director for approximately two years. Mr. Calderon joined the
U.S. Air Force in 1981 and served for 22 years. First as a Air
Force Security Policeman for 10 years and then as a recruiter
in 1991. As a recruiter Mr. Calderon rose through the ranks to
Recruiting Office Supervisor and subsequently became the
Recruiting and Retention Manager for the state of Arizona and
the Air National Guard. Nationwide only 50 positions were
authorized. In this capacity Mr. Calderon was responsible for
overseeing all recruiting and retention related programs for
over 2,500 personnel. Mr. Calderon was awarded the Air Force
Meritorious Service Medal with 1 oak leaf cluster(subsequent
awards), the National Defense Medal with 1 oak leaf cluster, the
Air Force Commendation Medal with 2 oak leaf clusters, the Air
Force Good Conduct Medal and the Air Force Reserve Meritorious
Service Medal with 2 oak leaf clusters. Mr. Calderon is a graduate
of Arizona State University with a Bachelors degree in Justice
Studies and a graduate of the University of Phoenix with a Masters
degree in Organizational Management. Prior to retiring from the
U.S Air Force in 2003 Mr. Calderon started his own consulting
company, Calderon Consulting, LLC. He and his wife, the former
Laura Foster of Great Falls, MT started an e-commerce business
in 1999 called “Lil’ Bear Shoppe, LLC. In the 10 years that they
operated this business and two other e-commerce sites the
Calderon’s generated sales exceeding $2M in revenue.
Upon retiring from the Air Force Mr. Calderon relocated to
Albuquerque, NM to become the senior recruiter with PNM
Resources. Consulting still played a major role but real estate
soon beckoned and Mr. Calderon became an Associate Broker
with the leading brokerage in Albuquerque. In 2008 Mr. Calderon
was asked by the New Mexico Department of Veterans’
Services, Secretary John Garcia to stand-up the states veteran
business development center. Since that time Mr. Calderon has
been responsible for assisting service-disabled veterans
secure over $30M in federal contracts Mr. Calderon was born
in Texas but raised in Oregon. He is married to the former Laura
Foster of Great Falls, MT and they live with their teenage son,
Grant Calderon, in Albuquerque New Mexico. |
